Tustin & Irvine

These photos are actually from Saturday July 14th. I just didn' t have time to really upload them or even sort through my SD card. But my friend Sarah invited me to see a couple residential products in the city of Tustin and Irvine (my hometown) and I gladly armed myself with my camera and took off to the meeting spot.

The first photo is from shot in Tustin Field located along Harvard and Edinger. The products varied from attached and detached homes but the one shown here is along the main entrance on the street Tustin Field. I really liked this one because it reminded me of how beautiful brick work can be on a facade and how it recalls the mood of urban east coast cities. I wish Irvine allowed non-Spanish/Italianate designs to be done to avoid the luxury cookie-cutter feeling it already entails.

The other three photos are from Irvine's community Northwood II. I actually live rather close to this area and was happy that I didn't have to drive very far to get there. But I wanted to show how Irvine always has Spanish/Italianate/Andalucian styles throughout the city. I mean, there are little variances, but holistically, the city looks rather similar throughout...housing-wise, anyway.
